Leica EM FC7

Change your Ultramicrotome Leica EM UC6 or Leica EM UC7 to a Cryoultramicrotome within minutes by mounting the Cryochamber Leica EM FC7 and prepare your cryo-sections ( -15° to -185°C) for TEM, SEM, AFM and LM.

Four Steps to perfect cryo-sections:

Step 1-Choose your individual ergonomic working position, whether you are left or right-handed, tall or small

Step 2-Choose your specimen type from cryoprotected Tokuyasu samples to high-pressure frozen tissue, polymers, and rubbers

Step 3-Select your instrument settings: Temperature range from -15°C to -185°C for specimen, knife, and gas, the brightness controlled LED chamber illumination and/or spot illumination

Step 4-Produce the highest quality sample face or sections compatible with your imaging technique of choice from routine TEM and LM to Cryo-TEM, cryo-tomography, SEM, Cryo-SEM as well as AFM and Cryo-AFM

Great Comfort & Storage of Sections

Heated chamber walls prevent icing during extended working time. The GN2 gap between the chamber and armrest ensures a warm surface to rest the arm on.

We can easily place sections in the grid box positioned nearby the knife.

Outstanding cryosectioning performance

Especially for frozen-hydrated sectioning or the Tokuyasu method, the Leica EM CRION with electrostatic discharge and charge mode used with the micromanipulator provides outstanding cryosectioning performance.
